From spring 2015 to winter 2016, Americans for the Arts placed targeted ads in publications including the Chronicle of Philanthropy, Nonprofit Quarterly, the Nonprofit Times, Independent Sector, and more to illustrate how the arts transform America’s communities. In 2016, we reached more than 320,000 readers in print with this message.
In 2017, our new Arts & Economic Prosperity 5 study quantified how the nonprofit arts & culture industry transforms local economies across the nation. To further that message, we created an ad highlighting the role of the arts & culture in creating jobs, generating commerce, and driving tourism.
